Megan joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2015 and served five years as an air traffic controller. She specialized in radar control and held multiple supervisory positions. After separating from the military in 2020, Megan returned to Tennessee and enrolled at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, where she is currently pursuing a dual bachelor’s program in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology as well as neuroscience. She is expected to graduate in May 2024. Additionally, she is currently participating in research involving Raman Spectroscopy, which analyzes the biomarkers of traumatic brain injuries. Megan aspires to attend medical school and pursue a career as a surgeon but is also considering a profession in pediatrics.
