Jesse Nuese Yaker

Jesse Nuese served as an infantryman and paratrooper in the Army for four years, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2014. He attended WSP’s humanities course at the University of Chicago in 2015. After separating from the service, he attended the Community College of Denver before transferring to Columbia University, where he graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs. While at Columbia, he received a US State Department Scholarship to study abroad in Beijing, China.

He then completed his Masters of International Business at the Fletcher School of Tufts University in 2023. While at the Fletcher School, he worked as a cyber threat intelligence analyst at Recorded Future, did policy research for the Defense Innovation Unit, and wrote his graduate thesis on the digital evolution of the Russian intelligence services.

After graduating from Fletcher, he spent a summer in the United Kingdom researchingChinese economic competition under the supervision of a former CIA case officer. He then traveled to Ukraine to explore the viability of post-conflict reconstruction projects, which led to his co-founding Forward Horizon Group, a frontier markets and security consulting firm where he currently serves as CEO.

He is currently enrolled as a Master of Science candidate in cybersecurity risk and strategy at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
