Alain Alcantara

Alain Alcantara served four years in the United States Air Force as a C-130J Avionics Systems Technician at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where he maintained and troubleshot critical aircraft radio and radar systems. During Operation Allies Refuge, he also supported humanitarian efforts by assisting with refugee processing, helping build temporary infrastructure, and supporting unaccompanied minors during their transition to safety.

In 2025, Alain attended Warrior-Scholar Project’s humanities boot camp at Yale University while preparing for his transition into higher education. He is currently completing an Associate’s degree in Business Administration at San Diego Mesa College and will transfer to the University of Southern California this fall. As a VA work-study in his campus Veterans Department, he enjoys helping fellow veterans navigate the challenges and opportunities of college life.

Outside of academics and work, Alain enjoys staying active and exploring new experiences. Whether he is hiking, camping, paddle boarding, running, drumming, or traveling solo, he is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. He also loves discovering new coffee shops and visiting contemporary art museums whenever he gets the chance.
