Chris Choe

Chris Choe served five years in the United States Marine Corps as an Avionics Technician working on C-130 aircraft. During his service, he deployed with his unit, supported multinational exercises in Korea as an interpreter, and finished his military career at his Wing’s headquarters. While serving, Chris rediscovered a passion for academics and began taking college courses, starting with an online calculus class and eventually progressing through mathematics, physics, chemistry, political science, and computational engineering coursework.

In 2024, Chris attended Warrior-Scholar Project’s humanities boot camp at Columbia University, an experience that solidified his decision to pursue higher education full-time. After years of balancing military service with rigorous coursework, he transferred to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he continues to challenge himself academically and explore new opportunities.

Chris enjoys tackling difficult problems and constantly pushing himself to learn. Outside of academics, he enjoys running, golfing, and finding new ways to challenge himself both intellectually and physically.
