Jonas Roca

Jonas Roca served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Forward Observer, a role that required precision, adaptability, and strong decision-making under pressure. In 2025, he attended Warrior-Scholar Project’s STEM Boot Camp at Stanford University as part of his transition into higher education.

Jonas is currently studying at Austin Community College and plans to transfer in Fall 2027. He is active in his campus Chess Club and volunteers with his local chapter of PB Abbate, a veteran nonprofit organization focused on community service and public impact. Through both academics and volunteer work, he enjoys finding opportunities to learn, serve, and connect with others.

Outside of school, Jonas has a wide range of interests that reflect his adventurous spirit and curiosity. He practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, enjoys long-distance backpacking and fishing, and spends time writing, cooking, and learning traditional flintknapping techniques. Whether in the outdoors or the classroom, he is always looking for the next challenge.
