Ruthanne Brock

Ruthanne Brock served four years in the United States Army as a Cryptologic Linguist before transitioning into higher education. In 2022, she attended both Warrior-Scholar Project’s Humanities and STEM boot camps at Princeton University, experiences that helped prepare her for the academic path ahead.

While serving, Ruthanne completed coursework through Austin Peay State University using Army tuition assistance before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. She is currently pursuing dual master’s degrees in Crime and Justice and Public Administration at Suffolk University. Her professional experiences span nonprofit development, event planning, donor relations, communications, and content creation, and she currently serves as a graduate fellow supporting her university’s performing arts office. She also volunteers as a literacy tutor with the YMCA, helping elementary school students strengthen their reading and writing skills.

Ruthanne is passionate about education, public service, and community engagement. Outside of work and academics, she enjoys Olympic weightlifting, crocheting, thrift shopping, reviewing croissants from local bakeries, and transforming thrifted finds into custom creations. She also loves spending time with her dog, Carrot, and cat, Kuma, who are frequent companions on walks around New England.
