Terren Wise is a current student at Brown University, studying design engineering within the School of Engineering (Class of 2026).

From 2013 to 2021, Terren served on submarines as a nuclear mechanic, specializing in the maintenance and monitoring of chemistry and radiological controls in the nuclear reactor and associated steam plant systems. During his time in the Navy, Terren served on the USS Tennessee, USS West Virginia, and USS Wyoming. He was involved with several infrequent operations, including but not limited to, assisting with a reactor refuel, standing in as the senior mechanic during sea trials, and numerous strategic deterrent patrols in various capacities.

After leaving the Navy, Terren attended Northern Virginia Community College before being accepted into Brown University. Since matriculating at Brown University, Terren has remained involved both on and off the campus. He worked as a STEM fellow with Warrior-Scholar Project, performed research in the Research Experience for Veteran Undergraduates (REVU) Program, and serves as a Service to School mentor.

After graduating, Terren is exploring potential pathways into science policy or human factors engineering.
