Conor Abbamonte
Conor Abbamonte is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Navy as a harbor patrol coxswain, administrative clerk, and kennel support for a K9 unit. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Yale University. Conor worked as a fellow for the past three summers serving as a WSP Mobile Training Team Fellow. He is currently a student at Columbia University majoring in political science. Conor’s passion now lies in shaping the next generation of American leaders.

Logan Allen
Logan Allen is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as a rifleman in a sniper platoon from 2014-2018. He attended the WSP humanities boot camp at the University of Notre Dame in 2019. Logan enjoys anime, snowboarding, hiking, and traveling. He is currently a junior at Columbia University majoring in economics and computer science.

David Anasky, Jr.
David Anasky, Jr. is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army with the Joint Communications Support Element. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Amherst College in 2018. David worked as a WSP writing tutor for the Amherst program the following summer. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Amherst College and is currently an incoming student at Columbia Law School.

Brennen Bickford
Brennen Bickford is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as an intermediate-level aircraft mechanic, welder, non-destructive technician, squadron HAZMAT supervisor, and an augment for the Marine Corps Shooting Team. He attended WSP’s STEM boot camp at the University of Oklahoma in 2019. Brennen has been a fellow since summer 2020. He is currently a student at Columbia University majoring in computer science.

Jazzmen Blackwell
Jazzmen Blackwell is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Navy as a quartermaster from 2014-2019. She attended WSP’s STEM boot camp at Princeton University in 2019. Jazzmen is an active participant in the UNC Charlotte’s SVA Chapter as the event coordinator. She is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte majoring in psychology and minoring in public health. Jazzmen is pursuing a career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Michael Bollinger
Mike Bollinger is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Army as a rifleman. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Princeton University in 2019. This year will be his second year as a fellow. He is currently a student at Columbia University majoring in computer science. Mike is pursuing a career in software engineering.

Matt Braaten
Matt Braaten is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Navy as an aviation rescue swimmer flying in the MH-60S helicopter for six years. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Georgetown University in 2020. He is currently a student at Columbia University majoring in political science with a concentration in history. Matt plans to pursue a political career.

Alec Buffi
Alec Buffi is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Air Force as a structural engineer with the 18th Civil Engineering Squadron in Okinawa and the 820th Red Horse Squadron in Las Vegas. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Cornell University in 2018. Alec has worked as a fellow since 2019 and is involved with the Yale Aerospace Association. He is also part of a team that is developing a CubeSat that will collect and relay cosmic ray data from the low earth orbit to a ground station in New Haven. He is currently a student at Yale University majoring in computer science.

Megan Byrd
Megan Byrd is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as an air traffic controller. She attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at Texas A&M University in 2020. She is also involved in the Student Veterans of America, her local VFW, and her school’s veterans organizations, SALUTE and Vol Fighters. She is currently a student at University of Tennessee-Knoxville majoring in biological sciences. Megan is pursuing medical school to be an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon.

Geoff Byrne
Geoff Byrne is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army as an explosive ordnance disposal technician. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Geoff is also a freelance photographer and writer. He is currently a student at Wesleyan University in the College of Social Sciences. Geoff is pursuing photojournalism professionally.

Britney Domine
Britney Domine is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Navy as an electronics technician from 2011-2017. She attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Harvard University in 2020 as well as the Community College Workshop at Grossmont College in 2019. Britney works as a student mentor at San Diego State University’s Native Resource Center. She is currently a student at San Diego State University majoring in anthropology and minoring in American Indian studies.

Travis Dozier
Travis Dozier is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army as a logistics NCO, senior supply sergeant, operations sergeant, platoon sergeant, and as an international military student specialist. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Georgetown University in 2018. Travis is the president of the African and African Diaspora Graduate Student Association at Florida International University (Honors College). He earned his bachelor’s degree in international relations, to include undergraduate certificates: Afro-Latino studies and human rights/political transitions. Travis is currently a graduate student at Florida International University pursuing a master’s in international and intercultural education, to include a graduate certificate in African and African Diaspora studies.

Kahlil Ello
Kahlil Ello is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Navy as a Navy hospital corpsman from 2014-2019. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Cornell University in 2019. Kahlil worked as a fellow last summer as a WSP Business Fellow. He is currently a junior at Columbia University majoring in economics. Kahlil is pursuing a career in consulting.

Mack Fina
Mack Fina is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army as a Black Hawk mechanic. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Cornell University in 2020. He is currently a freshman at Harvard University and plans to major in computer science or economics. Mack is pursuing a career in the robotics industry.

Harry Foster
Harry Foster is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as a division combat engineer from 2015-2018. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Columbia University in 2019. He also attended the one-day community college workshop at Saddleback College in 2019. Harry earned his associate’s degree in English at Saddleback College and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing. He is currently a junior at Columbia University and will graduate in May of 2023. Harry is currently working to pursue a career as a college professor along with a professional creative writing career.

Joey Grillo
Joey Grillo is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician from 2012-2020. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Columbia University in 2019. Joseph is pursuing his education in philosophy and political science. He is currently a sophomore at Williams College and will graduate in 2024. Joseph has aspirations of attending law school after graduation, and has a passion for helping veterans realize and achieve their educational goals.

William Hernandez
William Hernandez is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Navy as a nuclear propulsion plant operator from 2009-2014. He attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at Yale University in 2017, and has been involved with WSP ever since. He is currently a senior at University of Colorado-Boulder and will graduate in the spring of 2021 majoring in astronomy and astrophysics. William is pursuing a career that would benefit communities like the one in which he was raised.

Patrick Hollenbach
Patrick Hollenbach is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Navy as an electronics technician from 2013-2019. He attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at the University of Arizona in 2019. During his service, he discovered his passion for electronics and electrical systems, which motivated him to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. He is currently a junior at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and will graduate in December of 2022. Patrick plans to pursue a career in power and control electronics.

Manny Johnson
Manny Johnson is a WSP Humanities Fellow who has been serving in the United States Marine Corps as a public affairs specialist since 2013. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Cornell University in 2019. Manny has been volunteering as an alumni ambassador for WSP since 2020. Manny earned a bachelor’s degree in management from American Military University in 2019 and earned his master’s degree in international relations from Liberty University in 2021. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in communications from Liberty University. Manny wants to pursue a career as a foreign service officer in the State Department and serve as a spokesperson for a NGO.

Robert Liu
Robert Liu is a WSP Business Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as an aviation supply specialist from 2013-2017. He attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at the University of Notre Dame in 2018. Robert is currently a peer advisor in the Don & Ellie Knauss Veteran Resource and Support Center and the treasurer of Texas A&M SVA. He is currently a junior at Texas A&M University majoring in accounting and will graduate in May of 2024. Robert is pursuing a career in public accounting.

Maxwell Martin
Maxwell Martin is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as an anti-tank missileman from 2015-2019. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Columbia University in 2019. After a phenomenal experience with WSP Columbia 2019, Maxwell returned as a fellow the next summer to give back and to pass on the knowledge he learned to other veterans. He is currently a junior at Columbia University majoring in economics and will graduate in December of 2022. Maxwell is pursuing a career in consulting after he graduates.

Joshua Maxwell
Joshua Maxwell is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army as an infantry paratrooper from 2010-2015. Joshua attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Harvard University in 2015. He then attended Vassar College as a Posse Scholar graduating in 2019 with a bachelor of arts in Latin American & Latinx Studies and a minor in Spanish. He was a WSP campus coordinator for Vassar College in 2016. He will be attending University of South Carolina School of Law as a member of their Class of 2024.

Ethan McDonald
Ethan McDonald is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army as a combat medic from 2014-2020. He attended WSP’s STEM boot camp at Yale University in 2019. Ethan is still deciding what to major in, but has loved his math classes and the machine learning engineering work he has done for his internship with Redflag AI, in addition to personal coding projects on his Raspberry Pi. He is currently a sophomore at Reed College and will graduate in 2024.

Oscar Mier
Oscar Mier is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as a field radio operator in a fire support team in 2008-2011. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Yale University in 2017. Oscar does volunteer work as a research assistant in the Adamson Lab at Stanford University and the Palo Alto VA Healthcare System to conduct clinical neuroscience research on veterans with traumatic brain injuries. He earned his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of California, Riverside in 2020. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Southern California in the Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics program, graduating in 2022. He will continue his education at Stanford University in the Master of Science in Symbolic Systems program.

Han Nguyen
Han Nguyen is a WSP Business Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry team leader from 2016-2020. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at Harvard University, STEM boot camp at Caltech, and business boot camp at University of Southern California in 2020. Han has two real estate rentals and legislates with the Oklahoma State Legislature. He is currently a freshman at Princeton University majoring in economics. Han is pursuing a career in buy-side finance.

Jesse Nuese
Jesse Nuese is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Army as an infantryman and paratrooper. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at the University of Chicago in 2015. Jesse earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at Columbia University in 2021. He is currently a graduate student at Fletcher School of Tufts University pursuing a masters of international business degree. Jesse is pursuing a career in marketing and/or organizational development with a long-term goal of founding his own company.

Dylan Pancoast
Dylan Pancoast is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Navy as a nuclear-trained mechanic onboard submarines and an engineering refueling overhaul from 2012-2018. He attended WSP’s STEM boot camp at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019. Dylan is still deciding on his career path, but has found satisfaction in quite a few different roles, including helping others learn as a TA at his university and helping others in medical emergencies as an EMT. He is currently a junior at Harvard University majoring in physics.

Mary Swanson
Mary Swanson is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps. She attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at Texas A&M University in 2019. Mary served as the Parliamentarian for the board of Student Organizations and the Student Government Association and was formerly the president for SVA Chapter Husky Veterans. Mary was selected in 2018 to represent The University of Southern Maine at the Margaret Chase Policy Institute for Maine New Emerging Leaders Summit and then went on to complete a legislative fellowship working for the NGO, Maine People’s Alliance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in political science at the University of Southern Maine. Mary is currently a J.D. candidate at the University of The District of Columbia David A Clarke School of Law with the aspirations of becoming first a child advocate attorney and then a judge.

Patrick Trujillo
Patrick Trujillo is a WSP Business Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as a scout sniper from 2007-2016. He attended WSP’s humanities boot camp at the University of Southern California in 2017. Patrick worked as a fellow last summer and in addition to his fellow duties this summer, is a member of the WSP marketing and communications team. He is currently a senior at San Diego State University and will graduate in December of 2021. Patrick is pursuing a career in marketing and/or organizational development.

Ana Vidal
Ana Vidal is a WSP STEM Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps from 2014-2019. She attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at Texas A&M University in 2019. Ana is working as an undergraduate RA on a project interviewing military spouses about the transition associated with their service member’s post-deployment reintegration. She earned her pre-bachelor in arts in 2014 from Miami Dade College and is currently working towards a double major in communications and physics with a minor in astronomy at the University of South Florida.

Eric Wood
Eric Wood is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps as an avionics electrician on F/A-18’s from 2014-2019. He attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at Texas A&M University in 2019. Eric’s main passion is being a husband and father to his two girls. He is currently a student at College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina majoring in biology.
