Attending an academic boot camp can instill the confidence you need to succeed in college. You will leave better equipped to take on the rigors of college and improve your chances of success. You won’t do this alone. You’ll be with other enlisted service members and veterans in pursuit of bettering themselves and their academic journeys.

Boot Camp Enrollment Process

STEP 1: FILL OUT AN INTEREST FORM

Once you have submitted an interest form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for and attend a required information session.

STEP 2: ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION

The information session is a mandatory step in the process. It is approximately 30 minutes and covers all the basics of the boot camp, including eligibility requirements, an overview of the different curricula, a snapshot of the schedule, and more!

Eligibility to attend a WSP academic boot camp includes enlisted U.S. service members or veterans, reservists, or National Guard members who do not have a bachelor’s degree. For more eligibility information, please refer to our FAQs.

STEP 3: PARTICIPATE IN AN ADMISSION INTERVIEW

Once you have attended an information session and wish to move forward in the process, you will schedule one-on-one time with an admissions team member to discuss your academic interests and goals in preparation for completing the application and determining which academic boot camp experience might be the best fit for you.

STEP 4: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

The application collects information such as your academic goals, your time availability throughout the summer, and your willingness to travel. These details are essential for placement. You will need to answer a few short-answer essay questions to help us match you with the perfect boot camp placement!

STEP 5: ACCEPT YOUR INVITATION

Once we’ve determined the best-fit boot camp experience for you, you will receive an email with instructions on how to accept your invitation, as well as other important information.

STEP 6: COMPLETE YOUR ONBOARDING

Preparing for the boot camp does not end after the invitation. You will need to complete the required onboarding steps, which may include an orientation session, before arriving at the boot camp. During this time, you will also have opportunities to engage with other participants in your cohort who are also members of the student veteran community.

STEP 7: ATTEND YOUR BOOT CAMP
