Brenda Harvey is an Operating Partner at Insight Venture Partners, former IBM senior executive, Consulting Partner, and CEO of IBM Asia Pacific, who has worked with thousands of global enterprises and government agencies to strategically increase their corporate value, to identify and manage risks, and to allocate capital and resources. She communicates with internal and external stakeholders on topics of digital innovation, AI, data governance, cyber security, decarbonization, energy transition, cultural and business transformation. She has led $4B-$9B P&Ls, solutions, services, industries, and IBM Asia Pacific having lived in Shanghai, Singapore, Atlanta, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and now lives in New York City.
At Insight Partners, she works with investors and management teams to improve the performance of portfolio companies, as an operator, strategist, board member and value-creation leader. She is an Independent Director of Nissan Motor Corporation and a member of the Nissan Audit and Nomination Committees. She brings strategy, risk management, compliance, oversight, and diversity of experience and thought to electrification, software defined and connected vehicle. She is on the board of Alteryx, which provides AI trusted data workflows to over 8,000 organizations and on the board of Darwin AI, a govtech AI compliance and governance platform. She served for 5 years on the board of Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and is on the Dean Advisory of the Engineering College of Lehigh University. She is a frequent speaker and panelist on business and strategic topics through NACD, Bloomberg, Page Society, WIT, and The Economist. Her personal purpose is to create a more equitable and sustainable future.
