College Readiness Virtual Academic Boot Camp
Are you an enlisted service member or veteran interested in earning a liberal arts degree, and want to brush up on your academic skills? Do in-person college classes not work for you? Do you want to explore a virtual environment to see if it’s the right type of learning for you?
Our virtual college readiness boot camp can help you prepare for a liberal arts degree while learning in an online environment.
What you can expect from our virtual college readiness boot camp:
- Virtual college-level lectures taught by liberal arts professors
- A thesis paper project led by college writing instructors and tutors
- Dedicated support and guidance from student veteran peer mentors
- Classes with a community of enlisted service members and veterans interested in college
Virtual college readiness boot camp requirements
- Regular and reliable access to a computer* and the internet
- 40+ hours to devote to in-class (synchronous) lectures and work time, and outside-of-class activities and assignments (asynchronous)
- Active participation during virtual lectures, discussions, and activities**
*If you do not have access to a computer, Warrior-Scholar Project will loan you a Chromebook for the week
**Active participation means that your video must be on during synchronous virtual classes
Our boot camps are intensive and require an immense amount of focus and attention while attending virtual classes and completing the assigned homework. Please note that you cannot work full-time while attending a WSP virtual boot camp unless you plan to take personal time off (PTO) or vacation time.
