Cat Corchado

Cat is a National Consultant and Trainer with the Women Veterans Network (WoVeN). She volunteered and was chosen as one of the original Peer Leaders with the WoVeN program in 2017. She has helped lead over 15 in-person and most recently, online peer groups, and she did one of the first WoVeN online Peer Leader Trainings. She is an advocate and champion for all women veterans and helps them to navigate the transition process from active duty to civilian, which is why WoVeN was a perfect fit. Prior to her position with WoVeN, Cat retired from the US Air Force at Charleston AFB, SC, where she spent her entire career in Communications and retired as a Project Manager in Communications. In addition, Cat has spent over 37 years in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor to help women with their health and fitness needs. Cat is also the host of the podcast Sisters-in-Service, where she holds conversations for and about women, veterans, military spouses, and Blue Star/Gold Star families.

Dr. Angela Karnes Padron

Dr. Karnes Padron (“KP”) currently works for Army Medical Command at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany as an Industrial/ Organizational Psychologist. She has worked in Organizational Development, Psychology, and Change Management for 15 years. Angela also runs a consulting company called Olympus Strategies, which focuses on executive/leadership coaching and supporting companies through change.  She was on Active Duty with the Air Force for 7 years prior to this and served in 5 deployments covering OIF, OEF, ONE, and OSW. Her research focus has been on military veterans transitioning into the civilian workforce, specifically the experience of female veterans and their social identity throughout the transition process.  Her focus is to increase awareness of the struggles that military members face during this transition and share the contributing factors that lead to successful employment and smoother transitions.   

Christine Schwartz

Christine Schwartz is a former Army officer and military spouse who is passionate about supporting and enabling veterans as they enter a new phase of their life. A combat veteran herself, Christine spent five years on active duty before working in the tech sector managing programs at both start-ups and a non-profit. Before her role as CEO, Christine served as Service to School’s COO and prior to that as our Director of Undergraduate Operations. Christine was chosen for the George W. Bush Institute’s Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program where she was a scholar in 2018.
