Continuing Your Education

Now that you’ve completed a WSP boot camp, are you interested in graduate or professional school opportunities? Our Graduate Pathways Initiative Scholars (GPIS) program provides academic mentoring to WSP alumni contemplating graduate or professional school. In this program, you’ll be part of a cohort and participate in a range of mini-courses designed to help you achieve acceptance into your graduate or professional school program.

Graduate Pathways Initiative Scholars have access to both one-to-one and group consultations with application writing experts, as well as one-to-one mentoring with faculty mentors from a variety of disciplines.

Graduate Pathways Initiative Scholars (GPIS) Program

WSP alumni in the GPIS cohort will complete a four-month course, plus additional access to four months of workshops and consultations, with targeted programming aimed at:

  • Understanding the importance of goal-setting and planning as it relates to the graduate school process
  • Creating an individual development plan (IDP) to include short-, medium-, and long-term goals
  • Maintaining motivation by identifying and staying connected to purpose
  • Applying the fundamentals of college application essay writing
  • Considering critically the importance of institutional fit
  • Exploring different types of graduate schools
  • Developing a network of peers and mentors
  • Understanding how to handle rejection and maintain objectivity
  • Identifying various ways of financing graduate school as a student veteran

GPIS Fall 2026-Spring 2027 Application

Who is eligible?

This program is available only to alumni who have successfully completed a boot camp with WSP. Priority acceptance will be given to those who are within one year of starting their graduate program, as our primary goal is to prepare students for the application process and support them in finding the school or program that fits them best. Alumni who are further out from that one-year start date or are in the process of completing their graduate degree will still be considered based on their need for services as well as their commitment to the GPIS program.

Those alumni not accepted into the GPIS program will still have access to graduate school resources, alumni engagement workshops, and the WSP education staff.
