Luis Cornejo Miramontes

Humanities Education Fellow

Luis is WSP's Humanities Education Fellow. He supports efforts to design and improve the humanities program, as well as coordinates and executes WSP’s Community College Workshops (CCWs).


Luis served in the United States Marine Corps as an M1A1 main battle tank mechanic from 2011 to 2015. Luis earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020. In addition to being an alumnus of the Texas A&M 2017 Warrior-Scholar Project, Luis has assisted with the development of the WSP Community College Workshops program since 2018. He has also assisted with WSP summer courses since 2018, first as a Mobile Training Team Fellow, and now as an Education Fellow.

In his spare time, Luis enjoys reading literature by veterans, and tending his bonsai plants. He is always willing to talk to any veterans interested in the English major, or those interested in transferring from community college.
