Mary Swanson

STEM Fellow

Mary is a WSP Humanities Fellow who served in the United States Marine Corps. She attended WSP’s STEM and humanities boot camp at Texas A&M University in 2019. Mary served as the Parliamentarian for the board of Student Organizations and the Student Government Association and was formerly the president for SVA Chapter Husky Veterans. Mary was selected in 2018 to represent The University of Southern Maine at the Margaret Chase Policy Institute for Maine New Emerging Leaders Summit and then went on to complete a legislative fellowship working for the NGO, Maine People's Alliance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in political science at the University of Southern Maine. Mary is currently a J.D. candidate at the University of The District of Columbia David A Clarke School of Law with the aspirations of becoming first a child advocate attorney and then a judge.
