James Coker

James Coker serves as Warrior-Scholar Project’s director of admissions.

James considers himself a higher education enthusiast. With over two decades in higher ed enrollment management, he has made it his passion to help others along their educational journey. Prior to WSP, he worked in admissions helping students achieve their educational goals. His work with students helped him hone his skills in providing educational opportunities for all students.

James’ work centers around helping students recognize their potential and what educational paths they have. He earned his educational doctorate in higher education leadership from East Carolina University, and his masters in higher education administration and bachelor’s in mass communication from SU.

He resides in Greenville, NC, with his loving partner, Nikki, and their two kids, Mackenzie Jade and James Isiah. When not working, you’ll probably find him on his motorcycle doing charitable work with his motorcycle club.
