What was your educational experience prior to WSP? Would you consider yourself a confident student?
Prior to WSP, I had only taken a few online classes and about 12-15 CLEP tests. I would have definitely considered myself a confident student.
Had you participated in any sort of virtual learning before? If so, how does your WSP experience compare to that?
None of my prior online classes had mandatory conference sessions, so this course was a new learning experience for me.
Why were you excited to participate in WSP this summer?
I was excited to receive lessons and attend lectures by professors from some of the nation’s top universities. I was selected to attend the USC program and MIT STEM program.
What have you learned so far that you think will be helpful as you pursue your degree?
The studying, reading, and note-taking tips presented will be extremely helpful to me in managing the heavy workload expected from the top schools in the nation.
What was your favorite session, and why?
My favorite session from both weeks was the “Target Customer and Value Proposition” session during the business week. Mr. Samadani really put into perspective how important it is to have a clear idea of what issue you are trying to solve, how you plan to solve it, who stands to benefit from it, and whether that segment of the market actually wants the solution you plan to offer.
Is WSP having any effect on how confident you feel as a student?
Yes. WSP helped me reorient myself and identify habits that I feel will be great tools for my future success as a student.
